Sometimes you can
get
straight
to the point.
The Length rule that I preach: 400 to 600 words.
Don’t be afraid to break the rules.

- The goal of a blog post is not to ramble.
- The goal of a blog post is to share a piece of information, whether it be a tip, idea or a rant.

If you wake up one day and only have 100 words’ worth of information to share, go with it. Don’t feel that you need extra filler.
Final thought:
Do not be afraid to be epic. A post that goes past 750 words = epic. They have great value in moderation.
Do you tend to write short blog posts or long blog posts? What blog lengths work best for you and why?
I found that I have a natural tendency to finish my blog between 900 and 1300 words. But you are absolutely right that the length does not matter, it can be 500 or it can be 2,500. As long as you put your point forward in a nice manner.
I tend to keep the length short. I think that today’s reader is busy and have not got time to read long walls of text. Plus good writing comes with a technique to be more precise, concise and to-the-point with your topic…
