If you are a blogger then you are one busy bee. You are busy researching and trying to come up with the next content idea. You are busy writing that content and developing any associated media.

It is so easy to get caught up in the need to blog that we forget why we are blogging. This is why I want to ask you three simple questions today about your blog.

1. What do you want people to gain from your blog?

2. What kind of problems can you solve with your blog?

3. What do you want people to do after reading your blog?

Ok so I figured that it is only fair that I answer these 3 questions about my blog.

What do you want people to gain from your blog?

I want people to feel as though they can blog. My goal is for people to feel empowered. Blogging is a lonely lonely tasks that makes us all vulnerable. I want you to feel bold and capable.

What kind of problems can you solve with your blog?

My goal is to demystify the process and tools involved in blogging. I want people to learn how to better use WordPress and know more about the tools available to them.

What do you want people to do after reading your blog?

After reading my blog, I want to them to go blog. However, I need to make a living so I also want them to click on one of my banner ads and buy something. This is how I can afford to keep creating content.

This is the moment for the sale. If we are blogging for a business or as a business, it is important to be upfront with our readers and ourselves about how we hope to get paid. Generally speaking, we are not just blogging for free. Sure some people are but most people have a purpose and that is ok. Never be ashamed of your purpose or how you make money.
