Terms of service: a.ka. the F.A.Q.

1.
What if it crashes?

We will spend ONE HOUR doing everything in our power to fix it, including getting your hosting company on the phone. Most of the time, a crash caused by an update can be fixed. However, there are times when plugins, themes and WordPress mixtures are no longer compatible. If this happens we will roll back your site and restore it to its latest backup. Then we will recommend a replacement plugin.

2.
What are your support hours?

We offer support 8am CST to 7pm CST. While we do not officially offer support on the weekends, we are generally checking email. If you have an emergency and we have an internet connection, consider us on call. Also, we have backup maintainers so there is always someone watching and ready to act.

3.
Can I cancel my service?

Yes, with 15 days' notice. Just shoot us an email, we'll confirm that we've received your notice, plead briefly for you to stay and offer you chocolate, and then you are done. We ask for three months of a working relationship to cover admin costs of ramping up, plus 15 so we can plan for your departure, and that's it. There will be no hassle. We will just give you a high five and a good luck. Just remember that we are here if you ever need us again.

4.
Where do you store your backups?

If we are using BackupBuddy to store your backups, they will be on Dropbox. If you ever need access to your files, just let us know. We will share a link to your Dropbox folder with you.

5.
But I have more than one site...

No problem, we would like to cover them all for you. Our rates cover one site for one fee. If you have multiple sites and are wanting a group discount for four or more domains, shoot us an email and we will craft a unique package for you.

6.
Do you offer a developer package?

Yes, we do. We love working with WordPress shops just like yours. If you maintain three sites for folks or if you maintain 500, we want to work with you. Shoot us an email and let's work on the perfect package for your clients. White label is not a problem here.

7.
Do you offer hosting?

No, we don't. We believe that you should have full control over your site's destiny. We work with and highly recommend SiteGround

8.
Will the prices increase?

We guarantee your current pricing structure for at least NINE months. If and when we have a service price increase we will give you a minimum of 30 days' notice and amount of increase.

I've been called a lot of things.

But you can call me Renee. I fell in love with WordPress in 2010. I began to self-educate as a peripheral to my LLC's social media offerings, as we had clients who really needed their own web presence. Thesis was my entry into the WP world and now I am a Thrive Themes and Thrive Content Builder evangelist. Hundreds of client WP sites later, I've been building, changing and growing my own Blogging About Blogging presence ever since. I'll teach, support and help answer WP questions whenever, and wherever, you'll let me.

“Blog on.”

The Process

Here's what you can expect with I Teach Blogging WordPress Maintenance Services...

Step 1: The welcome mat

First, we want to get to know a bit about you and your site. We will need a few bits of information so we will send out a kick off email. In this email we will ask for log in details, hosting info etc. Then we will dive in and check out the behind the scenes of your site.

+

Step 2: Shape up the site

Once we have the keys to your digital kingdom we will immediately want to freshen things up a bit. We will verify that backups are happening and if not, we will do your first backup. Then we will update everything that needs updating.

+

Step 3: Keep an eye out

Once your site is up to date we will setup monitoring on your behalf. This way if anything goes wrong we will know. If trouble shows up we will let you know right away and then dive in and see what is happening.

+

Step 4: Update and report

Then each month we will keep your site up to date and send you those analytic reports. This how we reassure your peace of mind that your site is running smoothly and all is still well in your digital universe.

+

Step 5: Help along the way

If you opt in for Package 2 (see below), we are here to help you along the way. You can send us your desired content updates or landing page design requests and we will go to town. As always, if a project request is going to exceed your 1 hour of support, we will let you know. Then you can decide if you want to buy extra hours and proceed.
